Understand the boundary
This set contains the 50 states. Washington, D.C. is a federal district, and US territories do not qualify. Postal-code lists may include entries for places outside the 50 states, so an official code alone does not establish membership.

Choose an answer for your goal
Rhode Island earns 97 points and accepts RI. New Hampshire earns 96 and accepts NH. Using the listed abbreviation preserves the score while reducing typing. Be careful with similar names: the score belongs to the state identified by the code, not the state you intended. If you cannot recall the code confidently, use the full name.
Worked examples — reveals answers
- RI · Accepted
- An explicit alias for Rhode Island; the same 97-point canonical answer.
- Washington State · Accepted
- Disambiguates the state from the federal district.
- DC · Outside this set
- A district code does not identify one of the 50 states.
Practice the distinction
Check a state by name and by abbreviation. Then compare Washington with Washington, D.C. Finally switch to states beginning with N: a code is accepted there only if its canonical state name meets that restriction.

Start with the full category, then apply the exact boundary: State names or two-letter postal abbreviations. No territories. You only need one qualifying answer. A longer name is not automatically rarer.

Question quality signals
These measurements cover completed daily rounds recorded with timing and rejection details. Older rounds without those fields are excluded. At least 20 measured rounds are required per question.
Review thresholds: below 20% accepted, at least 40% timed out, or at least 30% of rounds with an unlisted input. These flags suggest checking the wording and answer coverage; they do not prove an answer is wrong or change points automatically. Abandoned rounds and practice attempts are not included.
How these statistics work
- What is counted
- Source: Krillionio daily submissions. Skips and timeouts count as rounds; practice and Battle are excluded.
- When comparisons appear
- A question needs at least 20 recorded rounds. An answer also needs at least 5 recorded choices within that question.
- What the data can tell you
- These anonymous browser records are not verified unique people or a representative survey. The player rarity index does not change game points or predict the original Krillion game. Raw submissions stay private.
Rule examples & common mix-ups — may reveal answers
- Only the 50 states qualify. Washington, D.C. and U.S. territories are excluded; a postal abbreviation must identify a state within the question’s letter restriction.
These notes explain the question boundary; they are not a ranking of player mistakes.
