Read the rule before answering
The original trilogy means the films released in 1977, 1980 and 1983, numbered IV, V and VI. It does not mean Episodes I, II and III or every film set in the same fictional period.

Understand the boundary
The set is A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The official film pages identify them as Episodes IV, V and VI. A New Hope was originally released as Star Wars, which is why Star Wars is an explicit alias for that film here, not a wildcard for the franchise.

Choose an answer for your goal
The subtitles alone are accepted. The Empire Strikes Back earns 50 fixed points; Return of the Jedi earns 65. Use a complete listed title rather than guessing that an episode numeral alone will be accepted. Recalling release order gives you a way to check membership before committing to an answer.
Worked examples — reveals answers
- Star Wars · Accepted
- An explicit alias for the 1977 film A New Hope; it does not stand for every Star Wars movie.
- Return of the Jedi · Accepted
- Episode VI, released in 1983, completes this trilogy.
- The Phantom Menace · Outside this set
- Episode I belongs to the prequel trilogy, outside Episodes IV–VI.
- Rogue One · Outside this set
- A separate film; its setting near Episode IV does not make it part of the original trilogy.
Practice the distinction
Compare The Phantom Menace with Return of the Jedi: one has the earlier episode number, but only one belongs to the original release trilogy. Then check Star Wars and inspect which single film the alias resolves to.
